Empowering The Next Generation Through University Partnerships
Our passion for education has resulted in MetroStar maintaining six formal partnerships with universities across the nation. These partnerships represent MetroStar’s commitment to ensuring we nurture and inspire the next generation of technologists to pursue careers supporting public-sector missions.
Old Dominion University
MetroStar partnered with Old Dominion University (ODU) and its students to conduct qualitative research on employment trends within government agencies. This collaboration supports broader efforts to understand workforce dynamics and improve workplace practices.
Fort Valley University
MetroStar hosted students from Ft. Valley University at our Reston Headquarters. This was an opportunity for students to join our team, including our CEO, and learn from industry leaders. This externship included a tour of the greater DC Metro area, introducing students to the region in which we live and work.
Howard University
MetroStar partnered with Howard University to supply mentors and support for the eighth annual Bison Hacks, a hackathon where university students from around the country spend two days designing innovative applications that automate, alert, organize, encourage, and engage.
Indiana University at Bloomington
Located at the heart of our second headquarters is Indiana University at Bloomington. Our technology experts have partnered with the university for many programs, including AI Chatbot Challenges and Cybersecurity and Design Capstone courses that feature Zero Trust and blockchain research.
George Mason University
Our Co-Founders are proud George Mason University (GMU) alumni and have been engaged with the school since their graduations with programs and mentorship opportunities that further the education and innovation of GMU students.
Virginia State University
Connecting and coding with students is a passion of MetroStar's. At Virginia State University, we've hosted various events including hackathons. We've also partnered with colleges within the university to ensure students have access to our internship program.
