words from our people

safety + wellness

The safety and health of our employees are our top priority. Since March 2020, 85 percent of our people are working virtually, while 15 percent continue supporting our clients on the frontlines. Learn more about how we are navigating the pandemic.

OUR CEO’S APPROACH

Eighty-five percent of our workforce is virtual at the moment. We have essential workers working at our Reston headquarters and on customer sites. We have strict protocols to protect our people, as safety and wellness are our top priorities.

A full transition back into our office(s) will take time, and we are preparing strategies to make it as safe and comfortable as possible. No matter your concerns, we are leading with empathy and flexibility for all of our people.

Any person feeling anxious about re-entering the work space should reach out to our People & Culture team.

We have implemented new safety measures across our office space(s) and created a COVID-19 playbook, which lists our methods in greater detail. We increased spacing in communal areas (such as a separation of desks). We also have sanitation stations, increased air ventilation, and removal of community items. Furthermore, we have daily safety protocols and checklists for entering the office(s).

MetroStar’s COVID-19 Response Team was established to prepare, monitor, and execute activities related to preserving our workforce’s health and safety during the ongoing pandemic. This team of leaders meets daily to report on global, national, local, and company developments.
