Joseph Whitaker

Joseph Whitaker, Distinguished Technical Fellow, is a seasoned leader with over 30 years of experience in IT, combining technical expertise with strong leadership in people management, program oversight, and system engineering. Whitaker consistently delivers results across complex technical landscapes, including large-scale global networks, systems infrastructure, and observability engineering.

Before joining MetroStar, Joseph served as Technical Director at the Defense Intelligence Agency, where he led technical solutions within the Chief Information Office. He also spearheaded the JWICS program, championing numerous technical innovations and modernization efforts for the Intelligence Community. With an M.S. in Systems Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, Whitaker leads with a passion for innovation and change. He focuses on accelerating MetroStar’s role as a transformational leader, emphasizing the expansion of Network, Cloud, and AI/ML capabilities to serve federal missions.
