Ali Reza Manouchehri is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MetroStar, a venture-backed, AI-enabled solutions company redefining how modern solutions scale across Defense and National Security. He launched MetroStar in 1999 while studying at George Mason University and has since grown it from a small startup into a 500+ person force of engineers, designers, and innovators supporting the federal mission.
For more than two decades, Ali has championed the practical application of emerging technologies across government, transforming AI, computer vision, and natural language processing from exploratory concepts into real-world tools that improve how agencies operate. He believes AI must serve people first and has made trust, usability, and impact central to MetroStar’s approach.
As CEO, he continues to push beyond experimentation and into enterprise deployment, driving initiatives like MetroStar’s Innovation Lab to deliver secure, scalable, and mission-ready solutions. His leadership is rooted in a balance of data-driven strategy and people-focused design, ensuring the agency workforce can adopt and benefit from modern technology.
Outside MetroStar, Ali serves on the Board of the Professional Services Council (PSC), chairs Zoomph, and supports education and innovation through partnerships with major universities. He is also a Board Trustee for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (National Capital Region).
Ali’s impact has been recognized across the industry, including honors such as WashingtonExec’s 2022 CEO of the Year and the 2023 CEO of the Year at the Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards.
