Ali Reza Manouchehri is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MetroStar, a Veritas Capital portfolio company specializing in AI-enabled products and solutions for U.S. government agencies. He founded MetroStar in 1999 as a student at George Mason University and has since grown it from a startup into an over 500-person team advancing the federal mission.
For over twenty years, Ali has advanced the practical use of emerging technologies in government, turning AI, computer vision, and natural language processing into tools that improve agency operations. He believes AI must serve people first, making trust, usability, and measurable impact central to MetroStar’s approach.
As CEO, Ali leads the company beyond experimentation to enterprise-scale deployment. Under his leadership, initiatives like MetroStar’s Innovation Lab deliver secure, scalable, and mission-ready products and solutions that address the evolving needs of federal agencies. His leadership combines data-driven strategy with people-centered design, enabling agency workforces to confidently adopt modern technology.
Outside MetroStar, Ali serves on the Board of the Professional Services Council (PSC), chairs Zoomph, and supports education and innovation through partnerships with leading universities. He is also a Board Trustee for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, National Capital Region chapter.
Ali’s contributions have earned industry recognition, including WashingtonExec’s CEO of the Year (2022) and CEO of the Year at the Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards (2023).
